Digital Transformation: El Salvador and Ecuador

El Salvador

Efforts are underway to map current digital solutions supporting healthcare and National Health System management, with a specific focus on primary care. This joint programme aims to increase community utilization of prioritized Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) services through digital technologies, enhancing access for families and individuals.

By leveraging innovation and digital solutions, El Salvador seeks to improve the country's NCD management capacities, ensuring comprehensive and quality services are accessible to all.

Ecuador

Ecuador is enhancing digital processes to expand coverage, improve quality, and strengthen governance of the Social Registry, bolstering the social protection floor. Through the development of digital tools, the joint programme aims to facilitate efficient data collection, enabling better coordination and delivery of local social services tailored to the needs of young people.

Additionally, the implementation of a digital assessment tool enables continuous monitoring and evaluation of coverage gaps and the efficacy of the local social protection system, enhancing overall social welfare.
