#EsLoJusto (Because It’s Fair)

In Mexico, there are more than 2.2 million domestic workers, of which 89% are women, that is, 1.94 million. Paid domestic work is central to the functioning of households, the economy and society. However, 97% of domestic workers work informally. (INEGI, ENOE 2021, third quarter)

The crisis triggered by COVID-19 has a particular impact on domestic workers due to the precarious situation in which they work. However, this crisis has also shown us that they occupy a crucial place in the response; They are the ones who take care of girls and boys, sick and dependent people, contribute to the maintenance of the home and are protagonists in the prevention of contagion.

This campaign puts the focus on them. Let's promote a culture in favor of decent work and non-discrimination towards domestic workers.
