Improving Municipal Social Protection Service Delivery

The joint programme (JP) in Albania, has implemented a programme focused on ensuring access to quality healthcare services for marginalized and vulnerable populations. Through this programme, in the Puka region in Albania, UNDP in partnership with Puka Municipality and Youth Movement for Democracy has piloted a model of integrated social care and health services. This intervention has enhanced access to psycho-social services and mobile health for over 700 children with disabilities living in rural Puka. Learn more about our work in Albania here.

Enhancing Social Protection for Female Tea Garden Workers and their Families in Sylhet Division

The joint programme enhances access to health care with a focus on maternal health care for tea workers. Through their efforts, over 14 health centres in tea gardens have built labour rooms or wards and enhanced their provision of quality maternal health care. Investing in the Next Generation’s Healthcare:

Mother and Early Childhood Grant (MECG):

With the aim of enhancing reforms in the healthcare system, the joint programme has piloted an intervention aimed at enhancing the efficiency of diagnosing different health ailments.
