The Joint SDG Fund is making significant strides in Somalia by boosting agricultural productivity, fostering local trade, and investing in crucial infrastructure. The joint programme addresses critical issues such as migration and displacement, climate change adaptation, and strengthening social protection systems. It also emphasizes gender equality and youth engagement, all while leveraging digital innovation to drive transformative change in the food systems.

Tajikistan

In Tajikistan, the Joint SDG Fund's investment focuses on enhancing food systems through the development of improved policies and frameworks related to production, standards, quality, and safety. The programme prioritizes environmentally sustainable practices and integrates the expertise of various UN entities to bolster food security and address nutritional needs. It also aims to eliminate gender and social inequalities within food systems, working towards a more inclusive and sustainable approach.

Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste benefits from the Joint SDG Fund's support aimed at creating frameworks for sustainable agriculture and enhancing government capacities for financial management. The programme incorporates community farmer experiences and establishes partnerships to effectively integrate financing, knowledge, and technology. Key initiatives include developing bankable climate-resilient rice projects, establishing a food innovation hub, improving rural infrastructure and market access, and launching campaigns to promote nutritious food choices among the population.
