Transforming Food Systems for Better Nutrition in Tajikistan
Brief Description
The Joint Program will strengthen the governance capacity of the National Food System Transformation Support Facility (NFSTSF) to enhance leadership and coordination for food system transformation agenda at federal, state, and local level. It will improve income for small-holder farmers in target areas leveraging a mobile-accessible digital platform with real -time data and knowledge to enhance productivity and climate resilience. Business-to-Business (B2B) market models and innovative technologies increasing market linkage will be implemented to reduce post-harvest loss. The National Food Based Dietary Guidelines will be updated and guide the delivery of nutrition education to target population such as women and youth.

- Improved availability of locally sourced health food with innovative approaches in the agricultural value chain
- Improved institutional capacity for integrated multi-agency response and leveraging financing for strengthening nutrition-sensitive food systems
