Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Accelerating SDG Localisation in Ghana' aims to strengthen coordination, empower local communities, and enhance grassroots development to effectively implement and monitor the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Ghana.

The programme focuses on enhancing SDG localization in Ghana by strengthening coordination and empowering local communities. It engages various stakeholders, including traditional leaders, civil society, and the private sector, to foster inclusive participation and address challenges such as limited SDG awareness and fragmented governance. The programme implements tailored solutions to improve data collection and technical capacity, ensuring vulnerable populations access essential services. With a target of reaching 2.5 million people, it drives economic transformation and social service access in the five Northern regions, ultimately contributing to Ghana's sustainable development and advancing the SDGs.
