Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Accelerating SDG Localization through digital transformation' aims to foster municipal-level digital transformation in Costa Rica to improve the provision of quality, gender-transformative services and incubate solutions for local SDG acceleration and economic development.

The programme focuses on fostering municipal-level digital transformation in Costa Rica to enhance the delivery of quality, gender-transformative services and promote local economic development. It integrates innovative e-government tools and participatory mechanisms to strengthen municipalities' capacities for SDG data management and accountability. Collaborating with local governments and organizations, the programme reaches approximately 300 beneficiaries, particularly empowering women through digital literacy and community engagement. Overall, it significantly contributes to advancing Sustainable Development Goals by improving governance, service delivery, and economic opportunities, thereby enhancing climate resilience and social equity.
