The joint programme titled 'Accelerating the transformation of the education system in Honduras' aims to provide integrated solutions for localizing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4, by enhancing educational access and quality through coordinated efforts, capacity building, and targeted investments in marginalized communities.
The program transforms Honduras' education system by localizing Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4, through integrated solutions and digital transformation. It strengthens coordination among stakeholders, promotes municipal investments for inclusive education, and empowers local actors, directly benefiting 125,000 school-age children across 30 municipalities. The initiative enhances educational access, reduces gender disparities, and fosters community support, ultimately advancing educational equity and resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.
Expected key results
Improved coordination among stakeholders to promote the incentive system, developed by Association of Municipalities of Honduras, to accelerate inclusive educational outcomes at the local level in at least 30 municipalities to benefit 125,000 children.
