Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Aligning Local Financing for SDGs' aims to strengthen local capacities in financial planning and budgeting in Tajikistan to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on participatory approaches and evidence-based practices, particularly in the education sector.

The joint programme focuses on enhancing local financial planning and budgeting in Tajikistan to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It strengthens local capacities through evidence generation, technical assistance, and participatory planning, directly benefiting over 200 stakeholders in Yavan District and Bokhtar City, reaching a total population of approximately 163,400. The initiative fosters partnerships with local authorities and civil society, promoting inclusive governance and improved access to quality education and social services, ultimately advancing climate resilience and contributing to the achievement of SDGs.
