Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Igniting Eswatini's Green Engine: Empowering MSMEs for a Just Energy Transition' aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Community Service Centres in Eswatini to adopt renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy access, and enhancing productivity while contributing to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Joint Programme for Just Energy Transition in Eswatini empowers MSMEs and Community Service Centres to drive the shift towards a low-carbon economy by adopting renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies. It enhances productivity and competitiveness while implementing clean cooking solutions in schools and Neighborhood Care Points, benefiting women and children. The programme integrates circular economy principles, promoting sustainable resource management and minimizing environmental impact. It targets key sectors and vulnerable groups, aiming to reach 50 MSMEs, 4 schools, and 8 green NCPs, thereby advancing multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering a just, inclusive energy transition that enhances climate resilience.
