Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Promoting Just Energy Transition for an Inclusive Economy in Jordan' aims to support the government and society in Jordan by integrating policies across key sectors, developing investment plans and a green jobs strategy, and providing opportunities for entrepreneurs and workers, ultimately creating sound framework conditions to instigate and accelerate a just energy transition in the country.

The Joint Programme for Promoting Just Energy Transition for an Inclusive Economy in Jordan focuses on integrating policies across energy, agriculture, and food manufacturing sectors, developing investment plans, and creating green job opportunities. It strengthens institutional capacities, supports the revision of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and empowers entrepreneurs and workers, ultimately reaching thousands of beneficiaries. The programme significantly contributes to advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to gender equality, decent work, and climate action, enhancing Jordan's resilience and capacity for a sustainable energy transition.
