Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Safe, Inclusive and Climate Resilient Cities: Ramallah - Palestine' aims to enhance public understanding of urban development issues, promote child-responsive city planning, and foster community resilience to climate change, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level.

The program focuses on creating safe, inclusive, and climate-resilient cities in Ramallah, Palestine, by enhancing public awareness and capacity building for child-responsive urban planning. It engages communities through a national campaign, empowering marginalized groups and promoting democratic governance. The initiative reaches 44,762 people, fostering resilience to climate change and improving access to essential services. By integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into local governance, it significantly contributes to sustainable urban development and enhances the quality of life for all residents, particularly children and youth.

Expected key results

National Awareness Campaign on Safe Inclusive Climate Resilient Cities to enhance public understanding of crucial urban and human development issues through launch of child-friendly module content for Ramallah City App and climate resilience and SDGs extra-curricular activities for children and youth.
