Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'SDG Localization Through Healthy Food Systems Transformation' aims to catalyze the buy-in of a holistic food systems approach among local stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina, enhancing engagement and awareness to support the transformation of urban food systems and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The joint programme focuses on transforming food systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina to advance all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a holistic approach. It engages local stakeholders in four municipalities—Trebinje, Visegrad, Kakanj, and Siroki Brijeg—by promoting sustainable lifestyles and addressing nutrition, food safety, and health-related behaviors, particularly among vulnerable groups. The programme strengthens institutional capacities for SDG localization and develops evidence-based policies, reaching approximately 5,600 direct beneficiaries and 5,000 indirect beneficiaries. Overall, it enhances climate resilience and contributes to the 2030 Agenda by fostering inclusive and sustainable food systems.
