Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Strengthening the localization of SDGs in Mokolo and Fotokol municipalities' aims to enhance the capacity of local authorities and vulnerable groups in the Far North Region of Cameroon to implement integrated spatial development plans that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through improved planning tools and inclusive dialogues.

The program strengthens the localization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Mokolo and Fotokol municipalities by enhancing spatial planning and integrating vulnerable groups. It builds the capacity of local authorities and women's associations to implement inclusive development initiatives, focusing on energy access, digital connectivity, and climate resilience. The program reaches 561,844 people, including 51% women and girls, and aims to improve their participation in sustainable development. Overall, it significantly advances climate resilience and contributes to achieving the SDGs in the region.
