The joint programme titled 'Support to the Operationalization of e-Justice in Dakar Suburbs' aims to digitize the judicial sector in Senegal, enhancing access to justice for marginalized communities by simplifying procedures and strengthening the capacities of legal professionals and local structures.

The joint programme supports the operationalization of e-justice in the Dakar suburbs, focusing on digitizing the judicial sector to enhance access to justice for marginalized populations, particularly women and youth. It simplifies judicial procedures and strengthens the capacities of legal professionals and beneficiaries in using digital tools, with the new Courthouse in Pikine-Guédiawaye serving as a pilot site. The initiative reaches 1,132,192 inhabitants, contributing to the achievement of multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving transparency, reducing processing times, and fostering social cohesion, ultimately enhancing climate resilience and promoting inclusive governance.

Expected key results

Simplified and dematerialized judicial and administrative procedures are available and operational at the Courthouse in Pikine-Guédiawaye and local structures (justice houses and law boutiques) located in the suburbs of Dakar.
