Needs Assessment Report: Digital Innovation Hubs under the DigiKen Programme
Kenya’s digital economy is expanding rapidly, driven by growing internet penetration, mobile usage, and supportive government policy frameworks. According to the International Trade Administration , Kenya’s ICT sector contributes approximately 7% to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and is one of the most dynamic in Sub-Saharan Africa. Despite this growth, a significant digital divide still exists, particularly among youths, women, persons with disabilities, and rural communities.
