Le Fonds commun pour les ODD est considéré par le Secrétaire général comme un élément essentiel de la réforme de l'UNDS. Considéré comme le "muscle" des coordonnateurs résidents et d'une nouvelle génération d'équipes de pays des Nations Unies, le Secrétaire général compte sur les États membres pour encourager financièrement l'intensification de la réponse aux Objectifs de développement durable au niveau national en promouvant une approche gouvernementale globale et en soutenant la collaboration entre les agences des Nations Unies et les autres partenaires du développement.

2021 Annual Report

As the United Nations flagship global fund, the Joint SDG Fund operates on a two-fold strategic mandate to supercharge the United Nations Development System (UNDS) to be fit for purpose, and, in turn, to catalyse systemic transitions at the country level in areas of integrated policy and financing to accelerate the SDGs.

Joint SDG Fund supports countries in accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by integrating economic, social and environmental policies and applying multi-dimensional and cross-sectoral approach to complex social challenges.
